Scandal! actor, Andile Sithole, wants to do more than entertain Mzansi on TV, he wants to reach out and touch people with his music.

Andile is a Gqom artist (on top of being a talented actor) and he is now able to focus more on his music career: TimesLIVE reports he will be touring the country for 6 months with DJ Lace.

Andile has always planned to make music, but was too busy with his work on Scandal!. Now that his schedule allows it, he will spread his wings as a muso with the stage name Ai05.

"I have always loved music. I like playing around in studio, making tracks, but I couldn't take it seriously because I was full-time at Scandal!"

Briefly.co.za gathered that Andile wants to help keep Gqom alive.

"Gqom just feels nice. I feel it with my body and soul. It is a way to express myself. It is also a way to put people in a good place. Gqom isn't dead. Gqom will never die while I am around."

The acting music maker said he jumped at the chance of working with DJ Lace and is excited to work under his own label - Grey and Black Entertainment.

But just because he is pursuing his dream as a musician doesn't mean he will be leaving Scandal! any time soon.

"I am still part of Scandal! and will continue to be on the show. It just means that I will be on set on some days and not on others. I have to make time for Scandal! I am like the father of twins. I have to look after both of them equally."
