Former Muvhango actor, Lesley Musina, was robbed at gunpoint with his 4-year-old son with him, and recently reflected on the impact that the traumatic experience had on his life.
Ex-Muvhango actor, Lesley Musina, experienced South Africa's crime for himself more than a year ago.
In May 2018, the actor had his son (4) with him and wanted to buy him a chocolate at a petrol station when a group of men held them up with guns.
TimesLIVE reports that Lesley's cellphone was taken, but the four men took off after his son started screaming.
Now that he looks back on the incident, Lesley says he has come a long way. He reflected on how just a few seconds can change your life dramatically.
"There were lot of changes that I made in my life generally. I had to let go of certain things and I became a loner. I spent a lot of time on my own and learnt quite a lot. I think now I'm a little bit wiser, in terms of decision-making.
"I've realised seconds literally can change your life. Always enjoy the moment that you spend with your loved ones. You should always make the most of it because you will never know what could happen next."
Briefly.co.za gathered that Lesley's son has since recovered from the experience and hardly ever talks about it.
The actor feels his son has grown and put it behind him. As for himself - he's learnt to be more aware, especially at petrol stations.
