Watson's family have said that his cellphone is not with them either, according to Times Live.
Watson's vehicle is currently being housed at the police impound in Benoni, Briefly.co.za has gathered. However, News24 reports that the car is not secured or protected from the elements, raising concerns about the evidence being spoiled.
Police have addressed this, saying that all the necessary evidence has already been collected from the car. A spokesperson for the police said the wreck was now being kept at the impound purely for storage rather than forensic purposes. However, the Watson family has reportedly hired a private expert to examine the car as well.
