Taxi drivers will fix Mzansi: Citizens react to Pretoria protests

This morning, South Africa's capital was set ablaze, with protesters taking to the streets in a massive show of solidarity after a taxi driver died trying to protect his city from drugs.

The protest saw shops owned by foreign nationals being looted and even set on fire, as the Pretoria CBD came to a standstill.

Briefly.co.za reported that police were deployed to the scene, where non-lethal ammunition was used to disperse the crowd.

This has seemed to only aggravate the disapproval some citizen's felt, with numerous calls for the man who lost his life to be honoured by the state itself, a fallen hero in the eyes of many.
