A cashier with a heart of gold is trending on social media following her inspirational act of kindness.

The young lady, named Ayanda, can be seen cashing up the items purchased, but also entertains a boy who suffers from a disability.

Briefly.co.za gathered the supermarket is Spar Retail Crossing based in the Westrand.

The boy, known as Brett, is delighted as Ayanda allows him to help her pack the items away.

A heart-warming moment soon follows as Ayanda assists him to clean his mouth.

Ayanda’s caring nature has ensured that the video go viral since being shared by Brett’s mother, Tammy Nash, via Facebook.

Briefly.co.za surveyed the comments and South Africans were clearly blown away by what they saw.
