A woman has shared how she was dumped via text message. She posted a screenshot of the exchange with her now ex boyfriend.

Twitter user Xhosadiamond01 took to her social media page to post:

"So I was dumped today nina - over dumped in fact. I felt it in 7 lines, kore one sentence wasn't enough nje."

The text messages indicate that the man wanted to call it quits because he didn't feel like he was good enough for her. He said that he was tired of constantly apologising for indiscretions and requested that they just be friends instead.

This was all communicated in shorthand text and social media users were quick to point it out. Twitter user VeezO07 said:

"If that is the way he types and talks English, trust me, trust me, you're way better off without him."
