Citizens united yesterday in Pretoria in answer to the death of a taxi operator who had attempted to stop an alleged drug exchange.

Briefly.co.za reported that the CBD had been brought to a halt, with taxi drivers distancing themselves from the looting and subsequent arson that targeted shops by foreign nationals, saying that they had taken a stand against crime.

The protest continued today, focusing on Sunnyside with residents uniting outside of a building they claim housed notorious drug dealers.
