A bus driver witnessed the significance of this rule as his negligence resulted in chaos on a busy freeway.
The city of Johannesburg municipality shared a warning via Twitter, which included an eye-opening video of a runaway bus.
The bus was being repaired, but the driver forgot to engage the handbrake and the vehicle started rolling back into traffic – with disastrous consequences.

Thankfully, the bus is stopped by rolling into the barrier.
