Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane is known for his direct and no-nonsense approach, but he displayed his sense of humour recently.

Mosimane was asked about the possibility of further signings as the transfer deadline approaches.

Sundowns have only signed three players and many expected to see at least one big signing from the PSL champions.

Mosimane jokingly said, “You can never be satisfied. If Messi and Ronaldo are there, maybe we can always sign them."

The Brazilians have been strongly linked with Khama Billiat and Aubrey Modiba, but Mosimane revealed that their offers had been declined.

He told SuperSport TV, “But what can I say? the players we want are not available to come to us. But you never know, we will try again, you know.”

The coach emphasised that Sundowns would only sign quality players that would make a difference to the team.

Briefly.co.za understands that many fans have questioned the signing of midfielder Sammy Seabi, but it seems the Sundowns mentor has a plan for him.

Mosimane said, “Seabi played well against Chippa, we brought him back tonight because of set pieces. We also wanted him to bring balance to the team, he gave Kekana balance because we want him to move a little bit forward. He is not young anymore so we have to back him up with someone like Seabi.”
