- Thuli Madonsela slammed a woman on social media on Sunday
- The lady accused Madonsela of using an official Public Protector handle to ask for prayers
- The former Public Protector was quick to set the lady straight
A woman, who was simply identified as Thandeka, retweeted a photo of Thuli Madonsela and Pastor Boshoff from the #CRC, which was posted on Public Protector SA's official Twitter page in May, 2016.
Thandeka said Madonsela was the first Public Protector who used the official Twitter handle to ask for prayers.
"Praying for PP and using the official PP handle, started with @ThuliMadonsela3," she wrote.
Briefly.co.za gathered Madonsela did not agree with Thandeka's post and she set her straight on in a comment on Sunday.
"Honesty please. This is not true. I never invited the public to come pray for me with PP twitter handle or any other means. In circulated picture, we had a private prayer with only staff who chose to be part of it. I also had faith leaders pray for me at events I addressed" - Madonsela said.
Social media users were left divided by the former public protector's comment on Thandeka's post.
Twitter user, @YesIam49376177, commented: "Why is the office posting this pic. Really. Is Adv TM still in that office today."
