The mystery around Uyinene Mrwetyana's disappearance has been cleared, but the truth of what happened to the bright young student has left South Africans shattered.

TimesLIVE reports that the man accused of her demise allegedly confessed to beating her to death with a scale and then burying her body.

The man responsible for her death will remain unnamed and is due back in court on the 5th of November, SABC reports.
