- Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane has expressed his satisfaction at how his squad of players are gelling together
- Mosimane has already played 22 different players this season due to the intense workload
- Sundowns are playing 3 tournaments within 7 days and Mosimane feels that rotation will keep the players fresh
Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane is chuffed with his chargers.
Mosimane is delighted with how his squad of players are working together as a cohesive unit.
The Brazilians mentor is especially appreciative of this as the team embarks on a tough schedule of matches.
With Sundowns competing on various fronts, Mosimane feels that rotation will be key and it’s therefore no surprise that he’s played no less than 22 different players already this season.
Daily Sun reported that Mosimane admitted that the current workload may be too intense for his team to handle.
Following the 2-1 win over Celtic last Wednesday, Mosimane said, “This cake is too big. The load we are carrying is too heavy. For me what is important is bringing all these players into the fold and for them to not let us down.”
Briefly.co.za gathered that Sundowns have played seven matches in August alone and will play three tournaments in seven days.
Mosimane added, “It’s not an easy programme for us to handle. I mean, at this point, we are the only ones who have to do this and it is still early days.”
