- Former Kaizer Chiefs defender Godfrey Walusimbi has landed a gig in Europe
- Walusimbi has been a free agent since leaving Amakhosi eight months ago
- However, he has now signed a one-year deal with KF Vllaznia
Godfrey Walusimbi's time as a free agent has finally come to an end. The former Kaizer Chiefs defender showed a lot of promise while playing for the Cranes squad in the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations.
His stellar performance led to an impressive one-year gig with Albanian top-flight side, KF Vllaznia.
In a statement on Vllaznia's official website, the club announced the 30-year-old's inclusion into the squad.
Vllaznia promised its fans that the technical staff would add another member, and they made good on that promise.
"It is left-back defender Walusimbi Godfrey. The player has signed a one-year contract and is expected to arrive in Shkodra within this week, as soon as he is granted an entry visa to Albani" - the statement read.
Walusimbi made 14 appearances for the Amakhosi side before a mutual agreement ended contract only one year into his three-year deal, Kickoff.com reported.
The defender was a free agent since leaving the Chiefs in January, until now.
