Rachel Kolisi, the wife of South African Springbok captain, Siya Kolisi, shared a powerful message about raising responsible men on her son’s 5th birthday.
Siya and Rachel Kolisi's first born, Nicholas Siyamthanda Kolisi, turned 5 years old on Tuesday, 3 September and in celebration of that milestone, Rachel posted a beautiful snap of her son admiring the sunset with the most powerful message about raising responsible men, especially with the current situation SA is faced with.
The proud mama expressed how much of a gentleman her son is and how excited she is to be raising a man who will be responsible and respectful of women.
She wrote: “He is everything that’s good in this world. He is brave and protective and kind. He opens the door and stands back for ladies, he loves with his whole heart and will tackle just about anything anytime. My heart is heavy today with everything going on in SA, but I can’t help but be excited when I look at him and be excited the future generation of MEN that we are raising up. Happy birthday baby.”
Rachel's Instagram post received more than 2250 likes with only 70 comments but was still a powerful message the entire country should see.
Change begins at home. Only parents can teach and show their children what they should aim to be, whether its future leaders or just being a kind and humble human being. Respect is something that should be earned and learnt from home.
