Kagiso Modupe's new film 'Losing Lerato' won't be aired in Botswana

Actor and producer, Kagiso Modupe, is proud that his latest film, Losing Lerato, will soon be in theatres. Sadly though, Botswana won't be airing the film due to red tape. The movie is set to start showing in local theatres on 13 September.

Kagiso Modupe, local actor, director, producer and radio host, has been working hard on his latest project - a film.

Losing Lerato will feature Kagiso alongside his daughter, Tshimollo, and he plays the role of a young man who has to take matters into his own hands to have a life with his daughter.

While everyone is excited to see the movie, it won't be aired in Botswana due to red tape, reports TimesLIVE.

Kagiso isn't happy that the film won't be hitting Botswana theatres but hopes residents will still somehow get to see it.

Briefly.co.za learnt that the film is funded by Kagiso and his wife, Liza, and features many famous faces.

Zandile Msutwana, Thato Molamu, Ayanda Borotho, Mandla Gaduka and Samela Tyelbooi are just a few of the starring actors.

Losing Lerato will hit theatres from 13 September.
