DJ Euphonik wasn't impressed when his ex, Bonang Matheba, turned a tweet of his against him and managed to burn him with his own phrase, 'Nonke'. Euphonik was responding to the surge in violence against women in South Africa when Queen B decided to comment.
Since the abuse of women in South Africa has been taking the centre stage in the country, the social media streets have been a sombre place.
When DJ Euphonik shared his view on the matter, saying men are trash, it wasn't as well-received as he might have hoped it would be.
Bonang Matheba, an ex of the DJ, used the opportunity to express how she feels - all men are trash.
She commented on Euphonik's tweet with the word 'nonke', which can be seen as a double burn. It implies that all of SA's men are terrible and is a word that Euphonik came up with.
Briefly.co.za gathered that Euphonik responded by accusing Bonang of trying to trend and be relevant.
His tweet has since been deleted, but here's what he said:
"Haha! Slam dunk! I forgot you're not normal. This is a crisis. It is not an opportunity to seek relevance or to trend. All men are trash! Sonke! Anyways, good hanging with you the entire time you were in Ibiza this weekend. Come again soon."
This response didn't impress social media users, who quickly slammed the DJ.
Check out what some of them had to say.
It's no secret that Bonang and Euphonik ended their relationship on a bitter note, with the entertainer claiming he abused her.
The charges were dropped, but people won't forget, it seems.
