On Tuesday, a woman, Asiphe Mdingi, posted a video of Uyinene on Twitter which shows her enjoying life, laughing and doing normal varsity girl things.
"Rest in peace beautiful, gorgeous Uyinene... Lala ngoxolo Mafu, Langa, Khuboni, Mambele....Yours is a sad reality we wake up to and sleep knowing that it could be me," she captioned the post.
South Africans were heartbroken over the video footage and they expressed their sadness in the comment section.
Graeme Mkhalimi K, who goes by the social media handle @Graeme_MK, wrote: "She truly had bright future ahead of her. Such a young lady full of life. I'm indeed ashamed of being called a man, we are your curse. Umphefumlo kaMambhele alale ngoxolo uMambele torho."
Twitter user, @musa_sweet, commented: "There is no getting over this, I've never felt this close to a stranger. Not in our name women, it is enough #RIPUyineneMrwetyana"
Dr Kolobe Mmonwa, @KolobeMmonwa, added: "Such a happy soul taken abruptly"
On Tuesday, Briefly.co.za reported Uyinene's sister penned a heartbreaking letter to her on Facebook.
Khanya, took to social media to pen exactly how she felt about her death and it had Mzansi reaching for the tissues.
