Former First Lady Tobeka Madiba Zuma took to social media to share a personal prayer for the children and youth of South Africa. She prayed for peace and safety in this trying time in the country.

Tobeka's prayer included asking God to protect the young people of the nation. She prayed that children are protected from violence, drug use, pedophiles, kidnappers and accidents.

She prayed for the children going to school and work. She then proceeded to quote a Scripture to reinforce her prayer. Her social media followers also joined in. Phungib_thandiwe said:

"Standing in agreement with you. Our hearts are bleeding"

South Africa has been experiencing a terrible week thus far. Briefly.co.za reported that reported that protests, looting and destruction reared it's head in the Gauteng area again. The Police Minister, Bheki Cele, spoke to media representatives on the ground, addressing the situation and dubbing it a matter of national emergency.
