SA celebs react to Tiwa Savage pulling out of South African festival

Nigerian musician, Tiwa Savage, has decided to pull out of the 2019 DStv Delicious International Food and Music Festival in support of her people, who she claims are being butchered in South Africa.

Tiwa Savage, a Nigerian musician, opted to skip this year's DStv Delicious International Food and Music Festival.

She was part of the entertainment planned for the festival but is unhappy with the recent xenophobic attacks that are shaking South Africa - and the rest of the continent - to their core.

Tiwa has slammed the 'butchering' of her people and refuses to come to the country while this continues.

Here's what Tiwa had to say about the situation in SA:

This was not met with understanding, especially not by South Africans.

Local celebs, Nadia Nakai and Prince Kaybee reacted to Tiwa's announcement, and it's clear that they're not happy with her decision at all.

Nadia feels that saying things the way Tiwa did will only make the situation worse and incite more hatred among Africans.

Prince Kaybee said it simply - he didn't think she was being smart with what she commented.
