On Thursday, Fikile Mbalula took to social media to reveal he had been hacked. Briefly.co.za gathered the Minister of Transport revealed that the hackers used his phone to send random messages on WhatsApp groups.
"Alert: please be aware that my phone had being hacked sending random WhatsApp messages to groups purporting to be from me. This has [been] reported to the police," he wrote on Twitter.
Social media users had no chill and they poked fun at the Minister of Transport in the comment section.
Others pointed out a pattern of phones being hacked, starting with Babes Wodumo.
Seisa Tshepo, who goes by the Twitter handle @_seisaworldwide, commented: "Lol I was surprised you insulted me on whatsapp."
Twitter user, @Casdube, added: "Lets hope they did not tweet anything offensive Cde, there is a young lady musician who is in the same predicament and is now at pains trying to apologise to us Zimbos regards tweets from her handle."
Mlimandlela Ndamase, @PrinceNdamase, said: "Have sent you the ewallet already."
