- A pilot, who had been on his way on holiday, was dubbed a legend on social media
- Michael Bradley, an EasyJet pilot, offered to fly a plane after the flight had been delayed
- The original pilot was missing in action and Bradley really wanted to go on holiday
On Monday, a couple of videos were shared on Facebook which show a dad on holiday with his family addressing the passengers of a plane.
The dad, who has been identified as an EasyJet pilot named Michael Bradley, asked the passengers if they'd be okay with him flying the plane.
Bradley and his family were among the passengers who were stranded at the airport after their flight from Manchester Airport to Alicante had been delayed.
After hearing the plane was down one pilot, he made a call and asked if he could be of assistance.
"Thirty eight seconds later they phoned me back and said 'Please, please pretty please with a big cherry on top, can you fly the aeroplane to Alicante'?” he said.
Briefly.co.za saw the videos were shared by Michelle Hannah Potts, who detailed on social media media what had happened.
The videos went viral, one reaching more than 209 000 views and the other 102 000. It managed to spark quite the reaction online.
Gillian Lloyd commented: "WOW! This is the kind of thing that only happens in films! So pleased for everyone on that flight I hope they all have a fantastic holiday."
Christin Charlie Baucke added: "Awesome, luckily he was available and well had his id and flying permission with him."
Rosheena Gonzales wrote: "This is legend."
