Robbery video causes Mzansi to react: “Justice system lets them go”

- The footage went viral as South Africans reacted angrily, with many debating the identity of the criminals

An armed robbery was caught on camera and shared via social media on Friday.

It was reported that the incident took place in Johannesburg and the footage caused quite a stir amongst social media users.

The video shows two men entering a shop and one momentarily pulls out a firearm to show the cashier.

He then conceals the pistol as his accomplice takes numerous store items and the two men make a getaway.

Yusuf Abramjee (@Abramjee) shared the short video via Twitter and Briefly.co.za noted the strong reaction.

Many had reason to believe that the crime was perpetrated by foreign nationals, however others believe them to be South African.

LytMoon (@lyt_moon) commented, “The justice system lets them go every time, all the time.”
Bob (@Bob59423108) responded, “Thank you very much, they know the consequences is bearable and it favours them, same goes to rapist (recent dude that works for the post office).”
Naseema (@naseemak27) said, “No man this is enough. No humanity, no respect for life and property. Need solutions fast.”
