AKA has been creamed in the past for being nominated but not winning many awards. Now, the rapper can proudly say he won the Best Pan African Artist of the Year Award at the Namibian Annual Music Awards. He thinks this proves that xenophobia is 'for dummies'.
Briefly.co.za proudly reported earlier that the rapper had another nomination under his belt.
He took to social media to thank Namibia for the award and added that he could unfortunately not make it to the awards because of the recent xenophobic attacks in Mzansi.
However, he added that 'Xenophobia is for dummies', a stance he's been embracing for a long time.
Despite his strong stance against xenophobia, AKA recently had Nigerians gunning for him on social media over an old soccer tweet he posted relating to South Africa losing to the Nigerian team.
Things blew up and AKA was even threatened by a Nigerian music star. But his fans showed up to defend him - it was quite a sight to see so many people stand up for the rapper.
