Terry Pheto has once again made the people of Mzansi extremely proud. The beautiful actress scooped the Best Actress Award at the fifth annual British Urban Film Festival (BUFF) Awards in London.
The stunning actress became a household name in 2005 with the film Tsotsi, and went on to star in movies such as Catch a Fire, Goodbye Bafana and How to Steal 2 Million.
Briefly.co.za learnt that Terry received the prestigious award this weekend thanks to her phenomenal performance in the international film FACES.
Not only did the movie win Terry the Best Actress award, it also won an award of its own. FACES walked away with the Best Feature Film Award.
Due to her prior commitments as a jury member for the 92nd Annual Academy Awards (Oscars) for Best Foreign Film, Terry was unable to be physically present at BUFF. In a press release, Terry expressed her deepest gratitude and disbelief.
“The feeling is always so surreal to win Best Actress. I’m elated that my talent not only continues to cross borders but is recognised amongst the best on international platforms,” expressed Terry.
