- South Africans applauded her for following her dreams but added that she approached it the wrong way
On Saturday, a lady, who could only be identified by her Twitter handle @EnthusiastXhosa, took to social media to reveal she had left her job to pursue her passion.
However, her post revealed that she had no backup income after quitting her job and she was worried about money the upcoming months.
"I quit my job. Got no savings but I want to pursue my writing passion on a full scale. I'm worried about income for next month," she wrote.
Briefly.co.za gathered South Africans could not believe that she would quit her job in the economic state the country is in at the moment.
Taking to the comment section, Mzansi clearly stated that they did not agree with her decision to quit.
Twitter user, @Mkansi_R, commented: "Never quit without a backup source of income."
Another tweep, @sngobese077, added: "I always tell my nephews and niece that passion doesn't pay bills, but try looking somewhere for the bills sake."
Social media user, @sirboring_26, wrote: "Do not quit without savings or a plan! Create a blog and write from their and chase users then start charging for premium ideas and content. Move slowly than rather cut off your income."
