As president, he earns about $400,000 a year, which he has so far donated to the Department of Education, the Department of the Interior and the Department of Health and Human Services.
His presidential salary barely dents the rest of his real income. According to Business Insider, revenue from New York City real estate alone accounts for $1.5 billion of his nett worth.
There are also sales from Central Park Carousel and ice skating rink operations, which he owns, and combine to add up to more than $13,000,000 in revenue. His Trump brand generates about $170 million.
His exclusive private Mar-a-Lago club in Palm Beach has become even more expensive since he became president. He went from charging guests $100 000 to $200 000 for initiation fees to join.
The luxurious holiday spot offers 58 bedrooms, 33 bathrooms, 12 fireplaces and 3 bomb shelters.
Trump owns a massive personal aircraft fleet, which he used to travel during his election campaign. He reportedly bought a Boeing 727 in 2010 for $100 million. He also owns a Cessna, a jet known for its low operating costs and high performance. He also owns three Sikorsky S-76's, helicopters known for their ease-of-use.
With the most recent helicopter purchase, Trump had the whole interior gutted and redone with 24-karat gold-plated hardware, from the seat belts and handles to his family crest emblazoned on the side of the aircraft.
In terms of wheels, Trump reportedly owns a vintage Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud, a Rolls-Royce Phantom, a Ferrari, a Mercedes-Benz 3600 and a Maybach.
He also bought a 100-cabin yacht for about $30 million and called it "Trump Princess".
He has several other homes including the famous Trump Tower penthouse. The penthouse is adorned in 24-karat gold and marble.
His first wife took a pretty penny from him after the divorce and now receives annual alimony from the US president.
It is said that Trump also donates to charitable causes from his own pocket such as the $1 million donation to Hurricane Harvey relief efforts in 2017.
