Mzansi's DJ Black Coffee and American singer Usher have finally dropped the collaboration they promised more than a year ago.
DJ Black Coffee first mentioned the collaboration two years ago, when he told Metro FM that it didn’t work out because Usher thought his music wasn’t “African enough”.
But then a year later, the pair teamed up for a phenomenal performance at the Global Citizen Music Festival in Johannesburg.
According to TshisaLive, Usher told Trevor Noah during the festival that he was working with Black Coffee for his forthcoming album.
“We gonna work on music for the album but this will be an amazing kick-off and the intention is really to set the spirit in the right direction,” said Usher.
This week, Usher released a teaser for the collaboration on Twitter and it sounded lit.
The track, titled LaLaLa, was officially released to streaming services, including Apple Music, by Black Coffee on Tuesday.
DJ Black Coffee provided the Afrobeat feel with Usher working his magic with the vocals.
Many fans took to social media with praise for the track, predicting that the song will top local and international charts. See some of their comments below:

Black Coffee’s career is on fire. The Mzansi DJ is an international sensation and everyone wants to book him. Briefly.co.za knows that things have not been all rainbows and butterflies in the Maphumulo family, so, seeing him spending time with his second youngest is definitely refreshing.
Taking to social media, Black Coffee shared a picture of him and his second child, Anesu Maphumulo, and captioned it with “Family ♥️".
