Local presenter, Lalla Hirayama, had to take her mother and flee to Japan for their own safety. Although the beauty didn't go into details, they will be spending 2 months in the country, where she will also be working.

Lalla Hirayama, local presenter and celeb, has shared with her fans on social media that she will be spending time in Japan for safety reasons.

She is also using this time in Japan to work and has taken her mother with her.

Lalla posted a tweet in which she explained she'll be in Japan for 2 months, but she also made it clear she's not forgetting about the situation women find themselves in here in SA.

"Today I leave for Japan for a 2 month work trip... I have been fortunate to take my mother with me, to ensure that she is safe."

Briefly.co.za couldn't verify a reason why Lalla and her mother are feeling threatened.

Recently, it was reported that her fellow celebs came to her defence after comedian, Jason Goliath, basically called Lalla out for being aware of the abuse that her ex, Chris Nkosi's wife suffered at his hands and she responded by issuing a lengthy and detailed statement.

Most people felt that Jason was wrong to drag Lalla in - she isn't the one accused of rape, after all.

Meanwhile, in an effort to make something positive happen, Lalla has opened her DMs, calling on everyone to share ideas on how to help Mzansi women.
