Men have taken to social media to share the stories of their experiences in the labour room as their wives gave birth. The doting husbands talked about their fear of blood and how they felt watching their wives cry in pain.
The discussion began on the popular micro-blogging platform known as Twitter after a man shared his experience.
A Twitter user identified as Damola Irinajo took a trip down memory lane to talk about his labour room experience. He noted that his wife had their baby through Cesaerean section.
According to him, the moment the baby was born all he cared about was his wife. He said after his baby was given to him he cried, handed over the baby to his sister, and ran into the theatre to check on his wife.
Irinajo noted that the sight of blood was enough to make him faint, but he summoned the courage to witness it all. He praised his wife's strength, saying she was cut open and sewn back.
Briefly.co.za gathered that other men who had similar stories to Irinajo's also shared theirs, adding their personal experiences and appreciation for the strength of their wives.
