- Celeb relationships seem to come and go as quick as their wardrobes
- Although that's a sad thing to say, it's true that many couples split up before even reaching their 10th anniversary
- We take a look at local couples that show us real love can't be broken or undone by time
Fewer people in South Africa are getting married and the divorce rate has rocketed, according to Statistics South Africa.
And celeb couples are included in these stats- it almost seems as if their relationships burn out even quicker.
With so many famous couples breaking up it's easy to think that love can't be found in the entertainment world. At least, not real love.
Well, Briefly.co.za is here to prove it can. We'll be looking at 5 power couples who prove that it is possible to find ever-lasting love.
Here they are, in no particular order:
1. Connie and Shona Ferguson
No list about true love could be complete (or even exist) without this amazing couple. They've been married for 18 years and are still going strong.
2. Kgomotso and Calvin Christopher
Kgomotso and Calvin look as in love as if they've met a few months ago. You'd be surprised to hear that they've been married 15 years. They are the embodiment of #CoupleGoals.
3. Basetsana and Romeo Kumalo
This couple has been by each other's sides as husband and wife for 18 years and it doesn't look like they'll ever have it any other way. They often gush about each other, even after so long together.
4. Mampho and Nicola Brescia
Mampho and her man have been blissfully married for 14 years, and are still very much in love. For Mampho, her life with Nicola has been one of 'love and magic'. How inspiring is that?
5. Siphiwe Tshabalala and Bokang Montjane
Okay, so these two haven't been together that long, but their love is clearly of the lasting kind. The former Bafana Bafana skipper and ex-Miss South Africa got married in 2016 and are currently showing us that long-distance relationships can actually work.
Finding that one person you can spend your life with isn't easy, but when you do, it's something that changes you forever. Congratulations to these couples on proving that it is possible.
