- A woman has shared how two police officers helped her
- She was stranded with a flat tyre
- They pulled over and helped her change it and ensured her safety
A woman took to social media to share a heart-warming story of how two policemen helped her when she was stranded. She encouraged South Africans to share the story to inspire others.
Clarice Bester shared that she got a flat tyre while driving through a farm. Her husband was 21 kilometres away and she had to attempt to change the flat tyre by herself.
She went on to say that the process was going slowly until a man pulled up to help her. Unfortunately, he also didn't know how to do the job.
The situation, however, changed when two policemen stopped to assist. Clarice said that she felt safe in that moment.
"I would like to thank Sergeant Dubazana and Constable Hadebe from the Ladysmith Precinct for their kindness. They did not see my colour, they saw me, someone in need. I did not see their colour... I saw two gentlemen, ready to do all they could to help me!"
She encouraged South Africans to share this positive story in the wake of the dark days the country has been experiencing. Social media users were impressed by the kind deed. Faebook user Ursula Vd Merwe said:
"There's hope for us. Thanks gentlemen!"
While Jane Adams said:
"Well done to both of you."
