As mourners gather to pay respect to the late Robert Mugabe, the world is reacting to his majestic Blue Roof home. The former Zimbabwean president's abode has been trending in South Africa as citizens lament the luxury he lived in.
Robert Mugabe's Blue Roof mansion in Harare has finally been revealed to the world as friends, family and diplomats gather.
Briefly.co.za reported that the former Zimbabwean president had passed away after a mystery illness in Singapore, where he had sought medical treatment.
While the Economic Freedom Fighters gave Mugabe a Red Beret send-off in South Africa, praising his no-negotiations take-over of his country, Mzansi was buzzing about his lavish personal residence.
The mansion drew numerous comments from citizens, with some condemning the magnitude of the politician's home, while others drew comparisons between the Blue Roof and Jacob Zuma's Nkandla.
South Africa's own former president is currently facing the risk of losing his KZN homestead after failing to honour payments to VBS Mutual Bank. Zuma had used Nkandla as security on a multi-million loan from the now-defunct bank.
