DJ Shimza decided to dish out some wise advice to any aspiring DJs who might be facing negative vibes from other people - he wants them to keep going and not give up on their dreams.
As one of the most successful DJs in Mzansi, Shimza knows what it takes to make it in a difficult industry.
He thought he'd share some pearls of wisdom with his fans and motivate them to keep going and not give up on their dreams, no matter what.
He was addressing aspiring DJs who are still trying to make a name for themselves and said they should use every chance they are given, reports TimesLIVE.
He also added that DJs shouldn't be bothered by people who have something to say about non-paying gigs.
"Dear Dj don't be pressured by people who mock you for playing for free, we've all been there. Push, be patient, respect your craft and make use of every opportunity given to you."
Briefly.co.za gathered that the DJ said in an interview with TimesLIVE that getting to where he is now wasn't easy, and it takes time.
"I have loyal people behind me, it’s not easy, it's been years of building. Keep going, it’s all possible."
About four months ago, Shimza kept his promise to take his one-man show to Europe and perform his best, and he certainly did.
The show was enjoyed by everyone who attended it, and Shimza will certainly be going back soon.
