Mamelodi Sundowns are prepared to battle SuperSport United in the second-leg of their MTN8 Cup tie on Wednesday at 7h30 pm.

The Brazilians go into the encounter with the advantage of the away goal following the first leg 1-1 draw.

However, Pitso Mosimane has urged his chargers not to take anything for granted and revealed his concern for the aerial threat posed by United.

Daily Sun reported that the Sundowns coach noted the effectiveness of the long ball approach implemented by Matsatsantsa in previous games.

Mosimane said, “The goalkeeper just sends the ball to (Thamsanqa) Gabuza . He flicks it and (Bradley) Grobler is in the area. You know what Grobler does when he is in the area. There is no build up play there."

The Sundowns mentor added that all set-pieces will be of concern, even throw-ins due to the extra height of the United players, such as Bongani Khumalo and Clayton Daniels.

Briefly.co.za gathered that Sundowns are targeting the MTN8 cup this season after it eluded them last term.

Sundowns defender Wayne Arendse said, “As players, we really want this cup because it is the only one that’s missing in the trophy cabinet. I think this year is a really good year for us to go all the way and lift the trophy.”

With Grobler in sparkling form for United, scoring six goals in seven outings, a goalless draw would catch many fans by surprise.
