Briefly.co.za previously reported that Percy Tau is set to face European powerhouses Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) in the UEFA Champions League this season.
The Bafana Bafana star's club side, Club Brugge, navigated the qualifying play-offs to enable Tau to make his dream European debut.
The group stages kick off this week and Tau has already been honoured by being named as one of the top 10 African players to look out for.
KickOff.com reported that French Publication Afrique Sports named Tau in the prestigious list.
Tau is in good company as Liverpool's Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane head up the list.
Napoli's powerful centre-back Kalidou Koulibaly also features and the special trio were also named in the FIFPro World11.
Briefly.co.za also noted the inclusion of Ajax Amsterdam's attacking midfielder Hakim Ziyech, who reached the semi-final stage of the tournament last season.
The other African superstars rounding off the list are Riyad Mahrez, Thomas Partey, Naby Keita, Idrissa Gueye and Victor Osimhen.
