Khanya Mkangisa, local presenter and actress, made headlines after she was arrested for drinking and driving earlier this year.
A video was shared on social media that showed her arrest and the heated argument she had with a female police officer, and it soon went viral, Briefly.co.za reported.
Since then, the incident has affected Khanya's life and career negatively, as potential clients distanced themselves from her.
TimesLIVE reports Khanya spoke to Pearl Modiadie and Thomas Msengana of Metro FM and told them that she lost out on a campaign after news of the incident broke.
"There was a campaign I was supposed to do. I got the dreaded email that due to the video that is circulating we’re gonna have to... you know... To this day, clients have taken a step back, especially the influencing work. It’s really taken a knock, which really sucks."
The actress has admitted to and learnt from her past mistakes and decided to put what happened behind her.
"I don't like to play victim. I was in the wrong. No one should ever be driving under the influence, for whatever reason."
