Taking to social media, Riky Rick shared a snap of him shaking hands with world famous designer and international brand, Tommy Hilfiger.

In the caption, Riky Rick explains how he had fallen in love with the brand at a young age and how Tommy Hilfiger had had a huge impact on his style.

Meeting Mr Hilfiger was a dream come true for Riky Rick.

While Riky Rick still had his heads up in the clouds over having met one of his idols, the people of Mzansi were questioning why he would want to even associate with - let alone partner up with - a ‘racist’ like Tommy Hilfiger.

A rumour exists that Tommy Hilfiger got his racist label back in 1996 when he appeared on Oprah Winfrey’s talk show. Tommy Hilfiger allegedly stated that he would have never made such “nice” clothing if he knew people of colour were going to buy it.

Despite Tommy Hilfiger having denied the rumour on countless occasions and having proven that he had never been on Oprah Winfrey’s talk show, the label stuck.
