On Wednesday, a social media user, Sibongiseni Thandubuntu Delihlazo, posted a video on Facebook of a nurse getting attacked in a hospital.
According to Delihlazo, the incident took place at the Pholosong Hospital in Tsakane in Ekurhuleni.
Briefly.co.za gathered the patient came up behind the nurse, attacked and choked her before stealing her cellphone.
"The patient went through two security points from where he was admitted to the Passage where he met his victim, and the security was not in any of those points! The nurse was a second victim - at the ward where he was admitted he attacked and dispossessed a patient of a cellphone," the post read.
South Africans were shocked by the video and they expressed their views on social media.
Mpho Pooe commented: "This is rubbish."
S'bu Shabangu added: "Every election you mobilise us to vote for a party that doesn't care about our well-being they are all about tenders at our expense...qhubani!"
Sbahle Ndongeni wrote: "Sorry sister, am worried yaz coz...."
NB Douglas said: "Shame very sorry sister."
