South Africans have come together to help a former pastor who was living on the streets.

Briefly.co.za reported earlier that a sad video has been shared on social media showing a man living on the streets.

BI Phakathi has changed the life of a man who is living on the streets. The man used to be a pastor before he became homeless. The Good Samaritan bought him food, clothes and even took him for a haircut.

Phakathi has since provided an update on the former pastor's situation and it warmed South Africans' hearts.

"Hi guys I am grateful to say the big man is back at his family home, we have been talking with the family they got united with him and they are doing everything they can to help him get back in shape, please keep them in your prayers. Job well done love you," he wrote on Facebook.

South Africans were happy to hear that the man had been reunited with his family.

Minnie Oberholster wrote: "Wow so glad he is with his Family again God Bless you for everything you do its amazing."
