Hlaudi Motsoeneng has clapped back at a R21 million civil claim against him, as only Hlaudi can.
The Citizen reports that the former SABC COO has lodged a counterclaim against the SIU's claim, demanding a R16 million 'success fee' for his 'ingenuity' at the broadcaster.
Motsoeneng feels that he should be given the handsome sum for successfully brokering a deal with MultiChoice according to a Sunday Times report.
This is the exact same deal that has seen him facing action from the SIU in the first place, but Motsoeneng argues that the SABC had earned R1.19 billion through the deal, insisting that he deserves a slice of the pie.

Briefly.co.za reported earlier that Motsoeneng's qualifications had been under the spotlight at the Zondo Commission.
Hlaudi had been adamant that the SABC had known he had failed to pass his matric, despite an attempt at age 23.
However, a 2014 report put forward by Thuli Madonsela insisted that he had lied about possessing the certificate, deeming his appointment as the entity's COO irregular.
