Mzansi in awe at brazen daylight theft: “They are taking our jobs”

- The footage revealed the crime took place during the day and completed within a few seconds

- Social media users were stunned to see the ease with which the thief removed the rear windscreen

With so many crimes being reported and witnessed on a daily basis, it almost becomes the norm to see how they are carried out.

A recent video still managed to surprise many viewers as a thug breaks into a vehicle with incredible ease.

The criminal can be seen driving a relatively new white car and he stops alongside a parked SUV.

Within a flash, he breaks the rear windscreen, steals a bag and makes a swift getaway.

South Africa Live shared the footage via Facebook and it attracted hundreds of comments within a short space of time.

Briefly.co.za gathered that many were taken aback by the ease and speed of the crime.

Ann Sunshine Nhlema commented, "Some vigilantes should pack laptop bags with agitated cobras and black mambas and leave them in the open in the car. That's got to be the best day of my life if thieves pick up the bag and open it while in their get away car."
Akwaudene Ekenasonso said, "They are taking our job."
Fai Giles responded, "That’s how they stole a bag full of diapers with poop from my brothers car
Mpêx Mavuso asked, "Captured on camera, do these footage not work in finding these criminals? I mean because these people seem to get more brazen every time like as if these videos don't get to them!!! I'm concerned."
