Cassper Nyovest knocked the socks off of the people of Mzansi when he showed off his mad soccer skills in a friendly Heritage Day soccer match.

The lit Mzansi star is a true inspiration when it comes to hustling to build your brand from nothing. Aside from his sharp tongue and drama-filled social media life, Cass is a phenomenal businessman.

Briefly.co.za learnt that a friendly Heritage Day soccer match, showing support in the fight against xenophobia, was held at the Nike Centre in Soweto yesterday where a team of Mzansi celebs took on a team of Mzansi soccer legends.

Team Celebs was made up of: TT Mbha (GK), Mduh Gumede, Reneilwe Letsholonyane, Mpho Popps, Manaka Ranaka, Tbo Touch, Somizi Mhlongo, Vusi Nova, Ntando Bangani, Stanton Fredericks, Lindani Mbense, Dineo Ranaka, Lasizwe Dambuka, Zodwa Wabantu, Andile Gaeliswe, Nomalanga Shozi, Eric Macheru, Mzwandile Gumede, Anga Makubalo, Khanyi Mbau, Danny K and Cassper Nyovest. Minnie Dlamini took the position of coach, Rami Chuene as assistant coach and Siphiwe Tshabalala as manager.

Team Legends was made up of: Williams Okpara (GK), Lucas Radebe, Jimmy Tau, Lucky Lekgwathi, Edward Motale, Steven Pienaar, Thapelo Liau, Doctor Khumalo, Portia Modise, Khabo Zitha, Jerry Sikhosana, Ernest Mtawali, Kalusha Bwalya, Brian Baloyi and Phumudzo Manenzhe, with Mpho Lethsolonyane as their coach.

One Mzansi celeb who took the spotlight was none other than Mr Nyovest. Cass played his heart out and took on soccer legends like it was a piece of cake.

Cass even won man of the match!

The people of Mzansi were blown away by Cassper’s skill and flooded his timeline with words of praise. At least Cass knows he’s got a back-up plan if the whole music thing goes south.
