US rapper, Lil Baby, is coming to South Africa to headline Flexecution

- American rapper, Lil Baby has been announced as the headline act for the Flexecution music event this year

American rapper, Lil Baby, will be visiting Mzansi shores for his first ever performance in South Africa.

According to ZAlebs, the Yes Indeed rapper will be headlining the third edition of the upcoming Flexecution music event at Nasrec Expo Center in Johannesburg this December.

The Flexecution event has prided itself in providing a lit experience for music listeners. Last year’s edition included headline acts such as Riky Rick and Frank Casino. This year’s show promises to be even bigger and for the first time, the Flexecution team will be featuring an international headliner, Lil Baby.

The news was confirmed in a press release which read: “For the third year running, Flexecution has delivered on it’s promise to provide an exhilarating experience blending the finest elements of urban music and street culture for fans across South Africa.

The press statement went on to read that the organisers have upgraded this year’s venue and boats the biggest line-up to date.

“This year’s festival was billed to be the biggest to date and the organisers have not delivered only by upgrading this year’s venue, Nasrec Expo Center is the largest venue in the concert’s history, but also by putting together their biggest lineup to date. The crown jewel of the 2019 roster was added today when Lil Baby was announced as Flexecution’s 2019 blockbuster headliner.”

Lil Baby will be performing in front of nearly 20 000 hip-hop fans, his first performance in the entire African continent, let alone South Africa.

The Flexecution line-up also includes some of the hottest local and continental talent such as DJ Maphorisa, Davido and other massive names.

Tickets, which range from R350 for general access to R1 250 for VIP are currently on sale through Webtickets.

Meanwhile, about three months ago, Briefly.co.za reported that music rivals, AKA and Cassper Nyovest will put their differences aside and share a stage at Kwesta's Spring Break Festival in Germiston Lake this weekend.

Rival musos, AKA and Cassper Nyovest is set to share the stage on Kwesta’s Spring Break Festival. Mzansi muso and radio host, Kwesta is expected to host one of the biggest events of the season, the Spring Break Festival, and has announced the artists scheduled to perform at the gig.

According to SA Hip Hop magazine, Kwesta told TshisaLive in an interview that the festival will take place in Germiston Lake over three days and that he chose the location as it’s a venue rarely visited by celebrities.
