- The Ndlovu Youth Choir may not have won America's Got Talent, but they are already moving onto bigger and better things
- Music legend Simon Cowell has offered the group a deal and they are happy to announce that they accepted
- The choir is ecstatic to have received such immense support from Mzansi during their whirlwind journey
The Ndlovu Youth Choir recently revealed that they have signed a deal with music legend Simon Cowell in an interview with Radio 702.
Briefly.co.za reported that the group from Moutse in Limpopo are the first African group to make it all the way to the finals of competition show America's Got Talent.
While they failed to bag the top spot, they are already moving onto their next chapter and Mzansi couldn't be happier for them.
Choir members say that they are proud of how far they have managed to come, grateful for the exposure given during their time overseas.
Ralf Schmitt, the group's conductor, told the show's Joanne Joseph that the group had evidently deserved the deal, otherwise Cowell wouldn't have extended the opportunity:
"It is a wonderful compliment to these young people because he wouldn't do that if he didn't think there is a future for them and the work they have done."
The group were given a hero's welcome when they returned to the country, with citizens flocking to OR Tambo International Airport to show them love.
