- After a bombshell report claimed that Floyd Shivambu admitted to VBS funding his Range Rover, the EFF deputy has dropped a bombshell of his own
- In a post to social media, Shivambu blasted the 'foolish', 'confused' and 'misled' journalists who penned the Mail & Guardian report
- People seemed on the fence about this claim, urging the Red Beret to sue those responsible
Floyd Shivambu has broken his silence over a report claiming that he had admitted to using VBS funding to pay off his Range Rover Sport.
Briefly.co.za reported that the Mail & Guardian had indicated that Shivambu came clean about using over R600 000 that originated from a loan at the defunct bank.
In response to the article, Shivambu took to social media where he denied the admission:
"The sponsored and foolish Mail & Guardian continues to spread lies. I never admitted anywhere that there’s VBS money that paid for my car. They’re confused and continue to be misled by the pillow talk of Werkmans’ Bernard Hotz and Pauli van Wyk."
In reaction to this claim, many appeared unconvinced, encouraging Shivambu to take the matter to court.
