- A video of an angry father scolding protestors for endangering both himself and his son has gone viral
- The Cape Town man got caught in the midst of the violent protest taking place in the region with damage done to his car
- In the clip shared to social media, the dad says that this is not what Nelson Mandela would have wanted
A clearly shaken father has gone viral after blasting protestors who threw large rocks at his car during their strike.
Briefly.co.za reported that Cape Town was experiencing violent unrest and it seems as if this dad got too close to the drama for his own comfort.
Sharing the damage done to the car the man slammed the 'irresponsible' attackers, opening a damaged door to reveal his small son sitting in the back seat:
"Who gives you the right to damage someone else's car? Who gives you the right? I'm all for a peaceful protest but look who I have in my car!"
The upset parent pointed out that if one of the rocks had hit his child the outcome of the unfortunate situation would have been tragic.
He urged the protestors to consider their actions before behaving in ways that could potentially harm others, claiming that this was not what liberation veteran Nelson Mandela would have wanted:
"Stop what you are doing and think about it! Nelson Mandela would not want this action at all! He said protest but he said protest peacefully!"
