- Mmusi Maimane has clapped back at the 'smear campaign' against him over his Steinhoff debacle
- Julius Malema told the DA leader that the drama is good for the fans in a cheeky social media post
- Maimane is adamant that he still remains true to his vision of a South Africa for all
Mmusi Maimane is not used to being in the spotlight for dodgy dealing and Julius Malema has offered him some comfort.
The EFF leader told his DA rival that the drama is good for fans in a tongue-in-cheek social media post after Maimane blasted recent reports.
Briefly.co.za reported that Maimane had enjoyed the use of a Toyota Fortuner, rented for the Democratic Alliance by the disgraced former Steinhoff CEO Markus Jooste.
Slamming the unflattering reports on the scandal, Maimane commented that:
"The smear campaign continues. These are gutless individuals who will not be named and instead spread lies about me and my family. I have always sought to build a South Africa for All. I remain committed to that vision, regardless of how uncomfortable it may make others feel."
People's reactions to the situation are fueling the fire surrounding it, with many suspicious that this latest news combined with drama over his Cape Town mansion is part of a DA plot to see Maimane removed from the helm of the party.
