- Duran Francis has been sacked as coach of Chippa United
- The caretaker coach was only in charge of two matches
- Chairman Siviwe Mpengesi has earned a reputation of being trigger happy and previously fired Clinton Larsen
It may come as no surprise to some football followers, but Chippa United have sacked another coach.
The latest victim in the firing line was caretaker coach Duran Francis, who was at the helm for only two matches.
Chairman Siviwe Mpengesi has a reputation for being trigger happy when it comes to the sacking of coaches, but this one was extremely fast, even by his standards.
The strange thing is that Francis drew his first match against Bloemfontein Celtic.
However, Briefly.co.za noted that his second match was the 1-0 loss they suffered at the hands of Maritzburg United, who happen to be coached by Chippa's former mentor, Eric Tinkler.
The Herald reported that Francis' sacking has been confirmed by assistant coach Mbuyiselo Sambu.
Briefly.co.za understands that Sambu will take over on an interim basis.
Sambu's first game in charge will be against Bidvest Wits on Tuesday.
