A woman has shared a story about how a stranger kept her 11-year-old son safe during a solo trip to Cape Town from Port Elizabeth. The grateful mother thanked the man for keeping her son company during the 12-hour trip.

Cheanine Prins‎ took to the Facebook "ImStaying" to share the heart-warming story. The mother expressed her fear and anxiety at having her young son take the bus by himself. However, she soon found out that a stranger had been watching over her son the entire time.

"This angel walked off the bus with his arm protectively around our boy and kept him company the whole trip up. Thank you for your kind gesture!"
