Last week, a woman, Fathima Dawood, detailed online how she nearly gave an elderly lady a heart attack in a parking lot. Dawood said she thought she saw a snake in a parking lot at Pick n Pay.

The sight made her "scream like a baby" but upon closer investigation Dawood saw that it was not a snake but a braid from someone's weave.

The post read:

"I apologise to the old lady in the parking lot at PnP when I screamed like a baby, thinking I had a snake coming after me. On the other hand if you lost your braided weave, it is in the far left aisle of the PnP parking lot, unharmed and still in one piece."

Gina Marie added: "It really does look like a snake."

In other news, Briefly.co.za previously reported that a video was shared on social media showing a little girl playing with her pet snake has left many social media users horrified.

The footage showed the child happily playing with her gigantic cream-coloured snake. Many Mzansi social media users were in disbelief, while others who were a little more accepting were shut down.
